Three vintage green hardback books

These three hardbacks in shades of deep green are readable antique books from the late 19th and early 20th century.  The books included are: The Plate Collectors Guide (1908), Tennyson’s Works (1878), John Ploughman’s Talk (1887).

This beautiful old book set will make a classic addition to your bookshelves or coffee table and they’d also be great for wedding décor, home staging, film or TV set decoration and photoshoots. The books in this old book set range from around 18 to 20cm tall and together they make a stack or cover 10cm of shelf-space.

Two antique books by Charles Dickens from the late 1880’s with illustrations

These charming vintage books by Charles Dickens are Nicholas Nickleby and Dombey and Son published by Chapman and Hall in London.  Each book includes eight illustrations and although the books are undated, they look to be from around 1880.

Each book is approx. 18cm tall, 14cm wide and 4cm thick.  Original red binding with gorgeous gilt spines and embossed front covers. Externally generally smart with a little wear and internally the pages are bright and clean.

Four antique books – Macaulay’s History of England from 1856 and 1861

This beautiful set of four antique books from the mid-1800’s are four volumes of Macaulay’s History of England.  Volumes 2, 3, and 4 were published in 1856 while Volume 5 was published in 1861.  

Brown hardcover with gilt titling.  Each vintage book is approx. 24cm tall and 17cm deep and together the four volumes will fill a shelf space of 18cm.  Overall good vintage condition with the covers showing minor wear consistent with age.  The pages are clean with light age-toning, free of writing or major blemishes.

Two antique brown hardback books from 1835 – The Works of William Cowper

These two brown hardbacks are readable vintage books and are Volumes I and III of The Works of William Cowper, his Life and Letters by William Hayley.  Both books were published by Saunders and Otley in London in 1835.  

Each book is around 18cm tall, 12cm wide and 2cm thick.  There is wear and tear to the spines and covers but all the pages are intact and they’re in great condition, given they’re almost 200 years old.

Three matching vintage books – New World Library set from the early 1960’s

This beautiful old book set are three matching volumes of the New World Library (volumes 5, 6 and 7) about Science.  Published by the Caxton Publishing Company in 1964, these beautiful vintage books include black and white photos, colour illustrations and sketches throughout and they’ll look gorgeous on your bookshelves or coffee table.  They’re a charming snapshot of life in the 1960’s!

The three-book bundle will cover space/make a stack of 10cm/4 inches and they are all around 25cm tall and 20cm deep.

Three antique black books in French and English from the early 1800’s and 1900’s

These three black hardbacks are readable vintage books in English and French from the early 19th century and 20th century: Hints on Christian Fellowship (1804), Méditations Poétiques par Alphonse de Lamartine (1835 – in French), Civilization in England Volume 1 (1903).  

The two books from the 1800’s are both quite rare and the books in this set are from around 16cm to 19cm tall, 12 cm deep and from 1cm to 3cm thick

These three pocket-sized hardbacks and softcovers are readable antique books in English and French from the mid 1800’s.  The books included are: The Babes in the Basket or Daph and her Charge (1862), Zélie dans le Désert (c. 1860 – in French), Out of the Question (1884).

The books in this old book bundle range from around 11 to 13cm tall, 8 to 10cm deep, and together they make a stack or cover 5cm of shelf-space.
